Big changes are coming for Victorian Estate Agents and Agents’ Representatives, and it is important that agencies understand what is changing and what they need to do now.Â
In this session, Hayley Mitchell breaks down the new registration and professional development requirements in a practical, easy-to-understand way.
From 25 November 2026, Agents’ Representatives will move to individual registration with the Business Licensing Authority, bringing new registration processes, annual fees and ongoing compliance obligations. From 1 April 2027, both Licensed Estate Agents and registered Agents’ Representatives will also be required to complete mandatory Continuing Professional Development each year. Â
This session covers what the changes mean in practice, including existing and new Agents’ Representatives, eligibility and registration requirements, registration and licence costs, annual renewals, agency responsibilities, penalties for non-compliance, CPD requirements, approved CPD providers and the key dates agencies need to prepare for.  Â
You will also learn what your agency should be doing before 25 November 2026, including checking the BLA Register, updating onboarding and compliance processes, planning for registration costs and preparing your 2027 training calendar for the new CPD requirements. Â
A must-watch session for Victorian Estate Agents, Agents’ Representatives, Property Managers, BDMs, Sales Agents and agency leaders who want to be prepared before the new requirements commence.
